New Chapter!!

We have been making great progress and are well on our way to hitting our goal! This is Hotshot #14 — the 15th chapter in the Hotshot series! Written by Travis Gibb and illustrated by Brian Wolf, this next chapter kicks off even more action, bigger challenges, and a brand-new phase for Hotshot as The Gauntlet begins!

“Hotshot Runs the Gauntlet” begins here — a ten-issue saga where every villain tests a different part of Hotshot’s humanity. Each issue is a new creative team, a new tone, and a new trial that will push our hero further than ever before.

WHAT IS “HOTSHOT RUNS THE GAUNTLET”?

This isn’t just another arc — it’s a creative collision of the indie comics scene.

Each issue from #14–#23 pairs Hotshot with a new writer and villain, crafted by some of the most talented creators in indie comics today.
Different voices. Different styles. One continuous evolution of Freestyle Komics’ core hero.

This isn’t just a superhero fight.

It’s a story about exploitation, anger, and what happens when injustice pushes someone past the point of no return. Because sometimes the monsters heroes face aren’t born from evil—they’re created by a world that failed them.

To stop him, Hotshot must face more than a powerhouse of stone — he must face the consequences of being a hero in a world that’s tired of being saved.

UPDATES ON OTHER BOOKS

Hotshot #13 – Books have shipped! We are currently waiting on a few remaining backer surveys to be completed so we can send out the rest of the rewards and packages.

Emerald Quest Vol. 1 / #4 – The book is complete and ready for print! Due to the delay, the project has been restructured into a full collected volume packed with extra content. Right now we are searching for the best printer option that can handle the new size of the book while still allowing us to print as many copies as possible at a reasonable cost.

Fivestar #3 – Books have shipped and most rewards are moving out. We are currently waiting on a few remaining surveys from backers. We also ran into some shipping issues involving merch items, but we are actively working through them as quickly as possible to get everything resolved and shipped out.

Action Figure Update – We hit an issue with the packaging process while trying to make sure the figures can safely survive shipping without damage. Right now we are testing more cost-effective packaging solutions that still properly protect the figures during transit.

Shipping & Fulfillment Updates (Transparency Time)

I want to be upfront and clear with everyone:

Fivestar #3 Merch
Production delays have pushed fulfillment back. These items are still in production and have absolutely not been forgotten. All books have been shipped and merch is soon to follow.

Emerald Quest #4 Letters
These have also experienced delays, and I truly appreciate your patience. We are very close to completion, after which they will move directly into printing and shipping.

I know delays are frustrating — I feel that pressure too. My goal has always been to deliver quality work and ensure everything reaches you correctly, rather than rushing and cutting corners.

What’s Next

Continued progress on The Gauntlet — a planned 11-issue series of one-shots, all building toward Zero Event: Emergence, FSK’s first official crossover. This event brings our characters together as they face a world-cataclysmic threat that reshapes the FSK Universe.

Ongoing fulfillment updates as items ship and backers receive their rewards.

More behind-the-scenes looks at what’s coming in 2026.

Stronger, clearer communication moving forward. As FSK continues to grow, so will what we’re able to bring to you. Some upcoming projects are already in development, and moving forward, we’ll be announcing new books once they reach at least 85% completion to ensure reliability and consistency.

🛡️ VIGILANCE UPDATE: Campaign Fulfilled!

We’re excited to announce that the Vigilance campaign has been fully delivered—all items have been shipped out to backers!

There are just a couple outstanding issues related to shirts/jackets, which we are currently reviewing and resolving to make sure those final backers are taken care of ASAP.

Aside from that, this campaign is officially complete!

We’re in the final editorial phase for Fivestar #3! The pages are being reviewed and polished to make sure everything is on point before heading to print.

Once the final edits are complete, we’ll send the book to the printer. After we receive the printed copies at the studio, we’ll begin shipping out all rewards to backers.

Vigilance is shipped. We still have some minor issues on international orders and a couple items that will be shipped later today. But for the most part we are at 99% for shipping on the project. 

There are still a some who have not filled out their surveys and need to do that. Some transactions on backerkit need to be followed up on by backers so we can ship there rewards. Thank for helping to bring this project to life

Fivestar #3 we have 56/80 surveys complete. Please go fill out your survey. The book is in the final editorial and lettering stages. We are int he mist of ordering the rest of the rewards as well.

Hotshot VOL III is well under way over HERE. Back it now to help us hit our goal and bring this to life. 

In 2025 January we will be launching Hotshot #13. February Emerald Quest #4, March- A Brand New title Comes to FSK and Kickstarter! April the Emerald Quest Vol 1 Trade with all new art, colors and letters for issue #1 and #3! And so much more 2025 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet. 

We will also have an update on our Hotshot Action Figure as well very soon!
